Operation Clean Sweep Announced for 2026

Operation Clean Sweep Announced for 2026

The Bossier Sheriff's Office, City of Bossier City, Bossier Parish Police Jury, and Keep Bossier Beautiful are once again partnering for "Operation Clean Sweep 2026" on April 18th. This year's event is scheduled in conjunction with Louisiana Lt. Governor Nungesser's "Love the Boot Week". We want to show everyone how clean we keep our city and Parish. Let's make this year's cleanup even better than last year's. In 2025, we had a tremendous turnout with 600 registered volunteers. Thanks to you all, we collected approximately 400 bags of trash and 12,920 lbs. of debris.

We need your help to organize and lead groups in your areas of influence to lend a hand in cleaning up our community on Saturday, April 18, 2026. We would love to see neighborhoods, businesses, churches, clubs, organizations, school groups, and individuals join in the effort. Our goal is to give these groups the opportunity to gather and clean up their own neighborhoods and subdivisions. They can bring the trash to the Viking Drive Substation by 11:30 a.m. on April 18th, where there will be a large dumpster provided by Republic Waste. Afterwards, everyone is invited to gather for group pictures and enjoy a free lunch of crawfish, hamburgers, and hot dogs.

Volunteer groups and teams should register for the cleanup with KBB Volunteers at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfCdcyBj7IQ76W8yN3Q891M3l5tmS86KscLhob25XU9n3r8BQ/viewformTrash bags and disposable gloves will be available for registered volunteers to pick up at the Viking Drive Substation starting Monday, April 13, through noon on Friday, April 17. The first 500 who pick up their supplies will get an "Operation Clean Sweep" t-shirt.

Clean streets and neighborhoods in Bossier Parish help to reduce crime. Curb appeal isn't just about looks... it's about less crime and more pride.
