CATS kicks off at The Glen this month

Enrichment series aims to spark diverse, thought-provoking conversation and entertainment to residents, community 


Shreveport, LA — Beginning May 9, The Glen will host five events to bring a diverse group of experts, leaders and artists to residents and the Shreveport-Bossier City community.


These events are presented through a series called CATS: Events on Culture, Arts, Technology and Science, which was created by The Paul and Betty McDonald Foundation in 2017.


All CATS events begin at 3 p.m. at The Glen, a Life Plan Community located at 403 East Flournoy Lucas Road in Shreveport. Each event is open to the public at no charge; however, space is limited.


CATS will kick off Tuesday, May 9, with a performance by the Shreveport Opera Xpress. Future events during the CATS series will also include Genealogy 101 on June 13, Eighth Air Force and Barksdale Field history on July 11, Metro Aviation on Aug. 8, and a performance by members of the Shreveport Symphony Sept. 12.
