For more than 46 years, Brad Brookshire has been dedicated to the grocery industry and has earned the love and respect of his employee-partners through his commitment to the community and upstanding character. Brad currently serves as the chairman of the board of directors and CEO of Brookshire Grocery Company. BGC is a family-owned supermarket chain headquartered in Tyler, Texas. During his tenure, he has played an instrumental role in its sustained growth and prosperity of the company.
In addition to his industry contributions, Brad is active on the board of directors for FMI - The Food Industry Association and Topco Associates. He is on the board of trustees for Southern Methodist University and serves on the board of directors for the Baylor Scott and White Health Foundation. He has also served on boards for numerous civic organizations. Brad is the grandson of company founder Wood T. Brookshire. Alongside his wife, Brad has worked diligently to establish a scholarship program for Tyler Junior College (TJC) graduates, evidence of their commitment to higher education.
