BPPJ welcomes new parish administrator

The Bossier Parish Police Jury has new leadership for its parish administrator.

Butch Ford recently retired after serving as administrator was since 2021. Police jurors appointed Ken Ward to fill the position.

Ward has been assistant parish administrator for the past year. But before that he served as assistant director of public works in Caddo Parish.

"The biggest thing for me is for the citizens of Bossier Parish to know that the jury is aware that we are growing fast. We are looking at providing ways to make sure that the parish grows in an efficient and smart manner as it relates to infrastructure and as it relates to programs with our libraries to make sure that we continue servicing the needs of our community," said Ward.

Ward is also a lifelong resident of Bossier Parish and said he is excited to serve his community in this role.
