BPCC TO HOST COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY CAREER EVENT FOR HIGH & MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS
Bossier Parish Community College is excited to announce the Computer Technology Career Event, a free event designed to introduce high and middle school students to the vast opportunities in the field of technology. Presented in partnership with BPCC’s Computer Technology Program and Cyber.org, the event will take place on Tuesday, March 4, from 9am until 12pm in the Coach Billy Montgomery Gymnasium on BPCC’s Bossier Campus, located at 6220 E. Texas Ave., Bossier City, LA.
Students interested in technology careers will have the opportunity to hear from industry professionals, engage in a live Q&A panel, and explore career pathways in IT, cybersecurity, software development, and networking.

Students and teachers will check in and receive event materials.

9:30 AM - 9:50 AM: Opening Keynote – The Future of Technology & Career Opportunities
Introduction to emerging fields in technology and an overview of industry career paths.
10:00 AM - 10:50 AM: Panel Discussion – From High School to a Tech Career
Panelists will discuss pathways into technology careers, including education, certifications, and internships.
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Campus Tour
Students will have the opportunity to tour computer labs and explore BPCC’s technology programs.

UPCOMING EVENTS
BPCC Middle School Summer Camp – June 16 – 19, 2025
Come and have fun with Arduinos. At this camp we will explore Arduinos. For those that do not know what these are they are programmable microcontrollers. So, we will do a lot of coding at this camp. We will be using the Inventor's Kit from SparkFun Electronics for this camp. There is NO cost to attend the camp, but it is limited to the first 30 students to sign up.
