Camp Minden Training Site has earned Military Community Champion status by:

• Have hiring procedures to actively seek to hire military connected individuals (veterans, spouses, dependents).
• Guard/Reserve deployment
• Participate in DOD Skillbridge program.
• Have a certain percentage of your staff that are military connected.
• Give annually to military related charitable cause/organization.
• Veteran disability accommodations.
• Suppliers being Veteran Owned Businesses and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses.
• Accept technical certification credit for military experience
• Bossier Chamber Member

"Camp Minden is the Louisiana National Guard's premier site for economic development as well as supporting the training and operation of many National Guard, regular Army, Marine Corps, and JROTC units throughout the year. Additionally it supports local kinds with the Youth Challenge Program (YCP). It is owned and operated almost exclusively by current and retired Louisiana National Guard personnel and serves under the command of the Louisiana Military Department. It also serves full support for it's multiple deployed personnel over the years with workplace retention and benefits support. The vendors and contractors that work alongside Camp Minden for our projects also have a very strong military connection."
