Public Policy Update: Energy

Public Policy Update: Energy

Thursday, July 28, 2022 (8:00 AM - 9:00 AM) (CDT)

Description

Energy is an extremely important topic in our city, parish, region and state.

Louisiana ranks third in natural gas production and there is a continued increase in drilling in our region, particularly in Bossier Parish. Couple that with the talks of going green, electric cars, and electric power grids failing - energy talks are going on all around us at a local, state and national level.

That's why the Bossier Chamber is bringing in a policy expert from the U.S. Chamber Global Energy Institute to give us an energy policy update, in an event sponsored by Southwestern Energy.

Hear from Christopher Guith, the Senior Vice President, Policy, U.S. Chamber Global Energy Institute.

He leads the Institute’s efforts to build support for meaningful energy and environmental action nationally and internationally through policy development, education, and advocacy. Guith offers expertise on an array of energy and environmental issues. He educates policymakers, businesses, energy stakeholders, coalitions, and the public about the importance of a diversified energy portfolio and how it can ensure an efficient, reliable, prosperous, and secure energy future.
