Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI) President Stephen Waguespack is coming to talk to the Northwest Louisiana business community on September 21 at 10 a.m. about the upcoming Constitutional Amendments on the now-November ballot.
According to LABI, Louisiana’s business tax climate ranks among the worst in the nation. Not just because our tax rates are high, but because our tangled tax code is too complicated. That ties down our home-grown businesses and stifles new job opportunities.
A pair of tax reform measures on the November ballot could change that, enacting constitutional amendments to finally simplify our system, meaning lower tax rates and more jobs in Louisiana.
The event will be held at the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce offices as well as offered online via Zoom.
In-person space is limited. RSVP to ljohnson@bossierchamber.com and respond on whether you want to attend virtually or in-person.
